About the Author
Greg Amundson is a former SWAT officer, DEA Special Agent, U.S. Army Captain, and one of the founding athletes and coaches of CrossFit.Known in CrossFit as the “original firebreather”, Amundson hasspent over fourteen years in Military and Law Enforcement service, including details as a Special Weapons and Tactics Team Operator (SWAT) and Sniper in Santa Cruz County, a Captain in the US Army, a Special Agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration and an Agent on the Border Enforcement Security Taskforce (BEST) Team. A former owner of the very first CrossFit gym, Greg has traveled around the world teaching CrossFit movement, theory, and application. He owns the gym CrossFit Amundson Santa Cruz and Krav Maga Santa Cruz.
TJ Murphy isa veteran journalist, endurance athlete, CrossFitter, and former editorial director of Triathlete, Inside Triathlon, and Competitor magazines. He is author of Inside the Box, and co-author of Unbreakable Runner. He is a five-time Ironman® finisher and a 2:38 marathoner.

Now, Is The Perfect Time to Change Your Life!

I am not the typical purchaser of a book like Firebreather Fitness. I don't have a history with cross fit. I was not an athlete. Was never in the military or in law enforcement. I am a busy and successful real estate consultant that has always put my business, clients and family first. I have never taken care of myself. I didn't like going to the gym or enjoy working out. So at age 55 I found my self extremely overweight and with all the health issues that go with a life of poor nutrition, inadequate sleep and no physical activity. While in the absolute worst shape of my life, I was exposed to the Greg Amundson integrated training program. His program combines physical movement and nutrition together with harnessing the power of your mind and finding your purpose. His philosophy of training helped me to find my purpose and set goals reasonable goals. In particular, it helped me to find my passions. One of which is to live my life in the the best physical, mental, emotional and spiritual shape of my life. This book is a must have manual to shape and change your life regardless of your current physical condition.

I was super excited to receive my copy of Firebreather Fitness in the mail and I have not been disappointed! Greg Amundson's passion about a wholistic approach to fitness leaps from the pages. The graphics, pictures, descriptions, and personal stories integrated throughout the book provide the reader with insight and real-life application on how to start and sustain a fitness program that addresses your body, mind, and Spirit. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced athlete, this is a must read!

What a fantastic book! Greg’s comprehensive approach to fitness is wonderfully presented in Firebreather Fitness. As a former law enforcement training professional, I highly recommend this book as a foundational resource for fitness and overall well-being for the law enforcement community, and beyond.
